North to Alaska
Venture to Alaska through the camera lens of Stihl's "North to Alaska" television series hosted by Larry Csonka, NFL Hall of Famer of the 1972 Miami Dolphins. Join Larry and Audrey Bradshaw as they fish with the owner of the lodge, Lyle Carling, during their mid-July 2003 adventure. During the show you'll see Larry battle with a legendary "Barn Door" halibut with a live weight of over 376 pounds! This is the largest halibut Larry has every landed and he was just astonished when he looked over the side of the boat as it broke the surface! Not bad for the first fish caught only 3 minutes into his first day of fishing less than 5 minutes from the lodge!
Larry and Audrey also enjoyed trolling for Coho Salmon, fly fishing for Dolly Varden on a picturesque freshwater stream and the chance to witness a "Gentle Gaint" of the Pacific, a Humpback Whale, jump numerous times clear out of the water like an acrobat!
